These are a few of my favorite things....

We have been in Germany now for a total of 4 days, the first one doesn't really count since it was spent on the train. The rest of the days have been great.

We spent the first real day in Rostock touring around, the second day we spent touring Gustrow (where Cece has lived with her second host family), and today we spent the day in Schwerin.

We have toured quite a few churches and let me just say they are AMAZING! The detail is absolutely breath-taking. We have also seen two castles that are also beautiful. The gardens in the area are also amazing. Everyone seems to have a garden. And when you go to someone's home it seems the thing to do is to take a bouquet of flowers to your host. There are fresh cut flowers all over the place.

We have gotten to have real German beer, schnitzel (though no noodles), bratwurst, and strudel with vanilla sauce and ice (YUM!) Im not sure why Julie Andrew's didn't include vanilla sauce in her song of favorite things, maybe its just a given. Either way, its on my list.
