I recently went to a bachelorette party for a parishioner this last weekend. I think I am now finally back to normal. We went to Fairmont Hot Springs which was a lot of fun. For those of you not familiar with the place it is a resort that has an indoor pool, outdoor pool, 2 hot tubs, golf course, game room, masseuse on duty, and all of the other emnities. The pools are all fed by natural hot springs and the temperature of the pool was a lovely 94 degrees.

The group ranged from the brides mom, her sister, her first grade teacher, and of course me the priest wife, along with other friends and family. To say it was an eclectic group is putting it mildly. But a good time was had by all. We enjoyed the pool, drank some, played put the weiner in the bottle, drank some more, and basically just had a good time. It was fun to talk to the brides mother who has survived raising two teenage girls and learn that yes there is hope.

I then came home from the party took about a 5hr nap, then got up and went to a play with the rest of my family in Virginia City. More on that later. Now I have to begin to catch up on my missed work load. Lets just say that this weekend I have learned to try to ignore the surly pout and enjoy the beautiful smile when it is about. Lets hope that works. Then maybe someday my daughter will want me at her bachelorette party with her playing put the weinie in the bottle.
