October

Aaah. Indian Summer. We have had the most perfect weather lately. The leaves are turning gorgeous colors! Im not even unhappy about the prospect of having to rake them yet cause they are so pretty. Its a little nippy in the morning but by 10am you can forget your jacket. 70's during the day and 30's at night. They are even predicting that this weekend we might see 80 during the day!

We have had company and I was seriously worried about what the weather would be like in October, especially when in the middle of September we awoke one morning to snow, and what we would be able to do with them. But I have to admit that things went really well. The weather was awesome (we ran in tank-tops and shorts)!! One morning they got up at 4am and drove to Yellowstone (70miles from the house) and got to see Buffalo in the road, a "Huge" elk, many deer, a momma bear and her 3 cubs, and many antelope. They also got to see the two lakes above Sheridan, go through a corn maize, and of course see Revref's two churches and see him in action. Your guess as to which was the highllight of their trip. We all had a good time and "the Child" is already planning for when they come back. We learned a lot having our first visitors. I am looking into re-arranging the "spare"bedroom/office so that we can have a little more room in there. Luckily our guest were gracious about their accomodations but I think that things were a little cramped, so will do some re-arranging before our next guests.
Anybody got plans out this way? Currently hunting season is on and ski season will be right around the corner. Doors open and the soups on.

I'm so jealous. Our weather isn't nearly as nice and our leaves, as you know, hardly make the brisk air worth it. The really sad thing is that Thursday nights are terribly lonely around here. I miss you (and the Ref and the kid).

Rearranging? What? Are you kidding? After all that work to get the desk put together?

We had a great time and the accommodations were excellent. No need to reorganize. It was great to see you all.
