learning is a process, how long does it take though?

When the Kid left for her 6 weeks at Upward Bound, I tried to help her pack.  

I mentioned a few things that she might want to pack "just in case".  You never know what the weather will be like or what you will need 6 weeks from when you pack.  With each item that I suggested I was met with a roll of the eyes and an annoyed voice that was certain that she would not need whatever I was suggesting.  

However, now that she is back, she mentioned that she borrowed an item that I had suggested that she pack from one of the other students.  

Awww, justice is sweet.  

We are now getting ready to pack for Florida.  We will see if she has learned anything from this experience.  One can hope.
