dancing

Tonight the Garifuna dancers came and danced for us. They had all of out dancing with them before the night was over. I have blackmail pictures if anyone wants them of their friends dancing. The type of dancing that they do is all in their hips, low back, and knees. Its no wonder that they all have arthritis and back and hip pain as they get older. However one of the ladies was over 70 and probably looked all of 50. She was incredible. And man can they move. They also brought 3 young boys between the ages of 8-14 who danced the joncunu dance for us. It is wonderful to see the costumes, hear the drums, and experience some of their culture. They are wonderful people and lots of fun. I have learned four Garifuna words this trip. It is definitely a different language. But it has been fun to learn some words

Tomorrow we will be going to Placencia to a resort there called Robert's Grove. At first I wasn't thrilled with the idea as I wanted to do something other than just lie around on the beach. However this has been a hard week and with the resort comes the opportunity to snorkel, use some paddle boats, and some kayaks as well. I think we will end up having a good time and I know that the food will be awesome cause last year the people who went made my mouth water with their descriptions. There is also the added bonus that I get to sleep in in the morning. What more could I ask for?
