Spring

Yes, spring is here. At least that is what the calendar says. It is also what my friend at Callapidder says. She is kicking off spring with her spring reading challenge.

Since here in SW Montana, spring can be rather unpredictable, we are known to get snow into June, I can think of no better way to spend my spring time than reading and scrapping. So here is my spring reading list:

The Great Eight by Scott Hamilton
Handle With Care by Jodi Picoult
Private Justice by Terri Blackstock
Dear John by Nicholas Sparks
Blood Orange by Drusilla Campbell
Swim To Me by Betsy Carter
While my Sister Sleeps by Barbara Delinsky
The Boy In The Striped Pajamas by John Boyne
The Book Borrower by Alice Mattison
Shadow of Doubt by Terri Blackstock

Then I happened to have two other older Nicholas Sparks books that I wasn't sure if I wanted to add or not. I haven't read them yet and I was just given them by a friend so if I manage to make it through all of the above I will begin on those next.
That would be like one book per week. Doesn't sound bad when you put it that way. Then of course there is reality.

Stay tuned, I plan on reviewing each book when I am done (no guarantees though). Hang in there with me and lets see how this goes.

If your visiting from Katrina's blog--good luck with your spring reading list and thanks for stopping by. Please visit again to offer encouragement and let me know what you think of the books Ive been reading and how your books are going for you, after all we are all in this together.

One book a week sounds very do-able!

You have lots of good books on your list - after looking up the ones I didn't know, I've added Blood Orange and the Book Borrowers to my TBR list. :) Earlier today I read about another child-disappearing novel - The Year of Fog - that might be similar to Blood Orange.

I have Handle With Care and Boy in the Stripe Pajamas on my Spring Thing list as well; happy reading.

Looks like a good list! I was just looking at that new Jodi P. book in the bookstore the other day. I've enjoyed several of her books and will probably read the new one eventually.

Enjoy your books! Thanks for being part of Spring Reading Thing '09!

The great Eight seem sto be on a few lists. I want to read Terri Blackstock so I'll have to put her on the list for next Fall.
